In the Fall of 1991, Magic Johnson announced that he had HIV and would have to retire from the Lakers immediately. When he found out he would be able to play in the All-Star game and the 1992 Olympics, he knew he needed to get in shape — but he had a hard time finding anyone to play him. That’s where Rony Seikaly came in. A simple game of 1-on-1 meant everything to Magic.
