Today, Rick tells us the amazing and tragic story of Marvin “Bad News” Barnes, the consistently tardy but incredibly gifted player who could have been one of the greatest ever. He began his career with the Spirits of St. Louis of the old ABA before moving on to play for several teams in the NBA including the Detroit Pistons, Buffalo Braves, Boston Celtics, and the San Diego Clippers.
