The rumours are true – Millionaire for Life is coming to West Virginia Lottery!

A new kind of draw game is on its way to West Virginia, and this one is set to change how you think about Lottery prizes. The West Virginia Lottery has confirmed that Millionaire for Life™ is launching in February 2026 — and yes, the name says it all. This unique game doesn’t offer a one-time jackpot. Instead, the top prize is $1,000,000 per year, for life.

As part of the latest expansion to the state’s draw game lineup, Millionaire for Life™ will sit alongside favorites like POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, and LOTTO AMERICA©. The new game will be available online and at in-store retailers upon launch, but while you wait, you can explore other options and play new draw games online through the official West Virginia Lottery platform.

How Millionaire for Life™ works

Millionaire for Life™ is a new national draw game set to launch in West Virginia on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The game is built around daily drawings, giving you seven opportunities each week to land a prize — including two life-changing top tiers.

To play, you’ll select five numbers from 1 to 58, plus one Millionaire Ball™ number from 1 to 5. You can choose your own numbers or use the Quick Pick (QP) option. Each play costs $5.

If all five numbers and the Millionaire Ball™ match the numbers drawn, you’ll win the Grand Prize — a guaranteed $1,000,000 a year for life, with a 20-year minimum payout.

The second-tier prize, for matching the five white balls without the Millionaire Ball™, pays $100,000 a year for life, also with a 20-year minimum payout. Both are annuity-based prizes, with optional cash values available.

There are nine total prize levels, including seven fixed cash tiers starting at $8. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.47.

The life annuity structure sets this game apart. Rather than a one-time payout, Millionaire for Life™ delivers structured annual payments for long-term financial consistency.

Where you can play

At launch, Millionaire for Life™ will be offered exclusively through licensed West Virginia Lottery retailers and online through iPLAY.

Plus, draw games like POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, LOTTO AMERICA©, Daily 3, and Daily 4 remain available to you online.

Why this game is different

Millionaire for Life™ introduces a top prize model that doesn’t change based on sales or rollovers. Unlike traditional jackpot games, the prize amounts are fixed — giving you clarity on what you could win from the moment you play, every single time.

With two annuity-style top prizes and seven fixed cash prizes, it’s no wonder the anticipation is building for the launch of this game in West Virginia.

What’s next for draw games in West Virginia?

The introduction of Millionaire for Life™ reflects the Lottery’s continued investment in providing more game formats and more ways to play. In recent years, enhancements and features like Auto-Renewal and Jackpot Threshold Auto-Renewal have given iPLAY users more control over when and how to participate in draw games.

With the addition of Millionaire for Life™, in-store players can now explore a new structure that complements other games like Cash25 or LOTTO AMERICA© — with a format built around steady, long-term prizes.

Although not yet available online, the Lottery is actively expanding its digital offerings. For the latest updates and current draw schedules, check the official Lottery website.
