Sports History On This Day: August 13

August 13, 1910 – A mirror image on the baseball diamond? The Brooklyn Superbas and the Pittsburgh Pirates played “the game of perfect symmetry” in baseball. They were pretty evenly matched that day, I mean really neck and neck.

The NL opponents reached an 8-8 tie, as both had 8 runs, 13 hits, 2 errors, 12 assists, 5 strikeouts, 3 walks, 1 hit baseman, and 1 passed ball. It doesn’t get any closer than that folks.
