August 7, 1936 – The game of Basketball makes its Olympic debut at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany. In the inaugural game it was the country of Estonia outlasting France 34-29.
Hoops Have been a part of the Summer games since that pre- World War II event and were at their pinnacle in 1992 when American Professional from the NBA entered the arena as the “Dream Team.” You can learn more about them on The Truly The GOATs Podcast Episode 16.
