September 21, 1955 – The end of an era in the ring was occurring. It would be the last fight, for the undefeated world heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano. The Champ in his swan song knocked out light heavyweight Archie Moore in the 9th round at Yankee Stadium in front of a cheering crowd of onlookers. Rocky ended his career with 49 professional fights, winning everyone with 43 of those by KO. A pretty impressive career!
